Root Restoration and Creation

Sacred Art

Created

A husband-and-wife studio in service of the Church

We restore historic sacred art, create original devotional works, and design sacred spaces rooted in sacred beauty and timeless craft. We are a Catholic studio, glad to bring that same care to any space that calls for it.

We are a professional studio with deep roots in classical training, sacred art, and the kind of craftsmanship that produces work built to outlast all of us.

The Studio

What Makes Root Restoration Different

This work is personal to us. Riley is a classically trained figurative sculptor who studied at the Sacred Art School in Florence, Italy, and has spent years on significant church and monument projects across the country. Kevin brings master-level woodworking and structural expertise to every project, and runs the business side: keeping every job on schedule, every detail managed, and every client well taken care of from first call to final install.

It's a partnership built on that balance. Riley leads the creative and artistic vision, and Kevin brings the order, structure, and follow-through that keep a project running smoothly. Together, they handle every phase themselves, with no handoffs and no middlemen.

That means the person who consulted with you is the same person doing the carving, the same person overseeing the structure and the timeline, the same person answering the phone when you call.

Our work spans sacred commissions, public monuments, cemetery memorials, and private architectural projects, along with any whimsical, beautiful dream a client wants brought to life. The standard doesn't change based on the category.

Classical Training

Figurative sculpture trained at the Sacred Art School in Florence. Full capability at any scale or material.

Direct Relationship

You work with Kevin and Riley directly, start to finish. No project managers standing between you and the hands doing the work.

Full Scope Capability

Sculpture, woodwork, bronze, gilding, painting, stencil work, design, installation. The complete range, under one roof.

Faith and Craft

A significant portion of the studio's work is sacred art. That background shapes the care and reverence brought to every project, sacred or not.

Restoration reminds me that we are part of something much larger. I hope to care for the work of others in the same way I would want mine cared for one day.
